This is an SEO Test

This is an SEO Test. This is a real SEO test and not a real SEO tactic. In the event of actual SEO tactic you would not be advised of what is happening.
Here is what is happening.
We (I) prefer to see “www . seo-theory . com” in all my URLs. Why? That’s just me. I know of no SEO-relevant reason to prefer one URL style over another.
Wordpress’ default install set up the URL as “seo-theory . com”. We verified the domain as “seo-theory . com” in Google Webmaster Tools. When we tried to set something or other in Google Webmaster Tools, Webmaster Tools said it could not do that because it couldn’t verify that we control “www . seo-theory . com”.
This is like some configuration issue on our server that I feel is too small to ask the Webmaster to look at (after all, SEO Theory is well indexed and gets lots of search traffic, subscribers, etc.). But I thought, “Hey! What if we use Wordpress to try to rectify the issue?”
So the admin changed the URL structure and we abruptly vanished from Google’s Blogsearch. Bloglines found us but Blogsearch said, “www . seo-theory . com? We ain’t got no stinkin’ posts from that domain!”.
Well, EXCUSE US, Google Blogsearch!
Anyway, the admin has now changed the URL structure back to what we think it was (no one actually bothered to write down what the old URL structure specifications were — there are two of them — because I frankly thought Google Blogsearch could handle the problem).
So this post, if it shows up in Google Blogsearch, will enlighten us somewhat (but remember that a valid SEO test has to produce repeatable results).
Please don’t change your dials. This is only a test.
